Hi all has anyone ever acquired a manufacturing business and purchased some type of equipment breakdown insurance to mitigate risk of large unexpected capex expense? Does this type of coverage exist? Capex can be a huge variable on cash flow. Thanks!

The equipment MFR could come for a service visit and provide a status overview (with a spare parts list). You can explore suitable second hand equipment to understand cost/timeline of a band aid install should something go wrong. You can also see if rental equipment is available to plug in when needed.
