Hey searchfunder! I'm under LOI with a manufacturer in the northeast and would love to connect with searchers/ investors with manufacturing deal experience.

Specifically looking to collect nuggets of wisdom on manufacturing specific due diligence items- those sneaky things that you wouldn't think to look for but turn out to be significant.

Feel free to shoot me an email at redacted here's a calendly link if you are an efficiency enthusiast (lol):

Thanks!

Some operational questions to think about: • What industry certifications does the company hold? Are there other certifications, which if obtained, would help the growth of the company? • Any known or suspected deferred maintenance? • What is the remaining % capacity of the existing shifts? • What is the remaining % capacity of the current building and staff? • What would have to change in order to double sales? • Describe safety programs and training.

Depends on industry - shift utilization, how many shifts per day, detailed list of staff and responsibilities, machines/tools maintenance schedule, reserves and provisions for maintenance and new machines, time value of equipment/machines, tax and legal DD, labour DD (depends on state), location DD (can you hire new or additional workers easily - . DM me if you need to talk by phone. I recently did DD for an electronics manufacturer.
