Hello - I'm hoping to learn some guidance managing interns during the search process. I'm interested in search yet can't formally begin until finishing a gap year abroad and closing out Haas in spring'18. I'm in the process of engaging some interns to do preliminary research and curious if there are some best practices.

Thank you very kindly for any inputs!

Rina definitely pointed to the right resource with Jim Sharpe's blog. Personally, I have used both FT and PT undergraduate interns and have found FT to be great but they demand more attention, which in turn takes up more of my time. It really depends on what you want them to do. I am happy to share some of my best practice. PM me.

Get FT interns over PT, on location over remote and if you can't get FT, make sure they can come in 3+ consecutive days. In return for work, reward with lessons/finance knowledge. Also read this: http://jimsteinsharpe.com/searchlaunch/searching-with-interns/
