Managing interns?

Hello - I'm hoping to learn some guidance managing interns during the search process. I'm interested in search yet can't formally begin until finishing a gap year abroad and closing out Haas in spring'18. I'm in the process of engaging some interns to do preliminary research and curious if there are some best practices.

Rina, Ridge, did you use any metrics (e.g. number of calls/emails to brokers per hour) to measure the performance of interns? I'm just looking for a reasonable benchmark to be able to measure their performance against. Thanks for any guidance you may have.

Rina definitely pointed to the right resource with Jim Sharpe's blog. Personally, I have used both FT and PT undergraduate interns and have found FT to be great but they demand more attention, which in turn takes up more of my time. It really depends on what you want them to do. I am happy to share some of my best practice. PM me.
