M&A in Australia for foreigners

Hey! I am going to start an acqiosition initiative in Australia. However, I am from Germany and got to know that foreigners (also incorporated companies that have foreigners as shareholders) need to get the FIRB approval. I was wondering if anyone here has experience in how complex that process is. Also, what visa options make the most sense as I am only in Australia with a TR.
