About Save Energy Systems (SES) Save Energy Systems (SES) creates smart HVAC and energy‑efficiency solutions that help commercial buildings reduce costs and carbon footprint. As we explore potential acquisitions and strategic growth opportunities, we’re looking for motivated talent to support our evaluation process. Role Summary We’re seeking an intern to support acquisition research and analysis. You will help identify potential targets, gather data, and assist SES leadership in evaluating opportunities. What You’ll Do Research companies in the energy, HVAC, controls, and cleantech sectors Gather key information: offerings, market position, size, pricing, and customers Analyze competitors and adjacent markets for possible acquisition fit Help build simple comparison tables, summaries, and profiles Assist with basic financial reviews and valuation benchmarks Support preparation of internal materials for SES leadership Skills We’re Looking For Strong research and analytical abilities Good at organizing information and identifying key insights Basic understanding of how companies operate (products, financials, markets) Proficiency with Google Sheets/Docs/Slides Ability to work independently and manage tasks reliably Nice to Have Coursework in business, finance, economics, or engineering Experience with market research or competitor analysis Familiarity with basic valuation concepts (multiples, revenue, EBITDA) What You’ll Gain Experience supporting real acquisition research at a growing cleantech company Exposure to startup strategy, competitive landscapes, and M&A thinking Opportunities to contribute directly to SES’s strategic decision-making
