Hi all,

I'm a self funded searcher with a B2B manufacturing company under LOI. I'm putting together a deck to send to investors and I can't seem to find a template or some examples. I've put together decks for start up before but this is considerably different.

Does anyone have a good example they could send me or point me toward?

Bonus points for a good example teaser as well!

Thanks

My understanding in Search is, investors are typically interested in reviewing a PPM (private placement memo) as opposed to a pitchdeck although, I suppose a pitchdeck could work for an intro.
If you download the Standford Search Fund Study https://www.gsb.stanford.edu/ including the exhibits, you'll find an example of a PPM. From what I've read on this forum, folks recommend following the script - no need to reinvent the wheel, it's well-understood, but you may want to run it by a Canadian lawyer prior to sharing since there's likely a few differences between US and Canadian jurisdictions.
From the structure of the PPM, you could probably distill a pitchdeck.

^redacted‌ I've got a connection that does very high end decks for VC and other types of fund raising. His portfolio is at over $1B raised in under 5 years. DM me if you're interested in connecting with him!
