I am very new here and looking to connect with people that have experience with starting a search fund in Canada. I am currently pursuing my MBA at IESE Business School and exploring the option of starting my own search fund in Canada during/after my studies . I am a Belgian national married with a Canadian and we would love to move to Canada after our Barcelona experience.

Thanks in advance!
Dorian

really not that hard - I would start the ground work asap. Leaving things for a later time isn't how I like to operate. In any case, most of the grunt work doesn't need for you to be physically present in Canada for you to do. So it I were you I'd chose my industry, get financing, get my legal and accounting and start my deal sourcing process. This should take about###-###-#### months any way. Additionally, I would think about putting together a board as well.
