We are currently evaluating a professional services/legal firm in the Northeast that provides monitoring and compliance services for companies that have reached settlements with government entities (DOJ, EPA, SEC, state agencies, etc..) related various regulatory violations. Government entities impose monitoring requirements and the companies are responsible for hiring a firm. On a high level, revenue is around $7million (with many recurring engagements) and Adj EBITDA ranging around $600 to $700K. Strong team in place. Retiring majority partner looking to sell after 20 years in business. There is an opportunity to optimize the practice with AI and enhanced systems. This is a niche practice area comprised of a few larger firms and some middle market firms. There is limited information regarding industry trends.
