Looking for anyone who evaluates businesses.

I run a small government contracting/security company in New Orleans and am looking to invest in/buy another company. I am half way done with my first finance class and would like to get more experience in evaluating businesses. Anyone looking for an intern or need help evaluating a business? 

Any ideas on where to get more experience?
