Local micro-brewery with strong brand and high potential for growth seeking acquisition. I'm looking for advice regarding how the owners should approach acquisition process potentially with search-funders.

An acquisition needs to start with business goals and good integration processes. Most acquisitions fail because of poor goal setting and faulty processes.

Assuming these are actually in a good place, the buyers need to contact brokers about brewery inventory. If they are thinly staffed (as most small firms are) they can hire a broker on a retained search.

I Cannot help on Search Funder options, as we have traditionally done deals with strategic buyers, PE and some financial buyers. Good luck!
