Hi @redacted‌, Healthcare law in Canada is a niche specialty, and within the specialty there are different levels of capability - solo lawyers (some of whom are excellent) vs. regional or national firms - and different appetites for different size deals. If this is a cross-border deal, there would likely be tax issues which may require a broader range of expertise. In addition, most healthcare professions are regulated at the provincial level, which means that the legislative framework and thus the expertise required of legal counsel varies among provinces.
