Looking for a deal negotiator
Deal I've been working for a few months has finally come to a head - the seller demanded more money and a different bank vs seller structure, claiming the business has performed better - and it has not. And they did this after we sent it off for underwriting.
The original offer was contingent on the sales increase the seller claimed was happening, but instead now that we have a few more months of data, it's just flat.
The legal team I hired turned out to not be negotiators/communicators, only document creators (as defined in their contract, but that wasn't what I was looking for when I hired them).
I never found a QoE willing to tackle this deal when I tried, so I've done it myself (it's really not a complex business.)
Before I try to negotiate this further and knock .5M off the price (or walk away), I wonder if there's anyone out there who feels they are good at this.
