Personal Guarantee Insurance Looking for 2–3 Anchor Partners in Canada (Acquisition Financing / ETA Ecosystem)

Hey Searchfunders,
I’m launching a new specialty insurance product in Canada called PGI - Personal Guarantee Insurance, designed for all types of business financing with a $1M max policy limit (any loan size).
PGI is designed to address that specific moment in a transaction, with the goal of converting an unbounded personal risk into a defined, underwritten exposure.
It does not replace lender underwriting or change deal fundamentals; it simply introduces a risk cap at the guarantor level.
What I’m looking for
I’m looking to partner with 2–3 anchor partners active in acquisition financing who want a cleaner path from term sheet to close. PGI is designed to sit directly within your deal flow, helping business owners cap personal downside when signing guarantees, without changing how you structure or underwrite transactions.
As an anchor partner, you’ll work directly with us on live deals, shape how PGI integrates into your workflow, and gain early access to a solution that can reduce friction and improve close confidence for your clients.
Ideal partners:
1. Lender (Senior / Mezz / Alternative)
Actively financing acquisitions (startups OK)
Comfortable sharing underwriting packages (we are licensed)
Interested in improving borrower confidence and close rates (share feedback)
2. M&A Advisor / Broker
Regular deal flow (~$1M ideal, considering our max limit)
Working with first-time or independent sponsors
Want a cleaner path from LOI → close
3. Search Fund / ETA Operators
Active or repeat acquirers
Engaged in leveraged transactions
Thinking seriously about personal risk exposure
What partnership looks like (initial phase)
This is a controlled rollout, not broad distribution.
The goal is to:
* Refine process
* Validate fit within Canadian deal structures
* Build a clean, repeatable workflow
To be clear, PGI is a claims-made insurance product tied to a specific loan and guarantor. It responds only after defined events (default, recovery, formal demand), so it is not considered a 'guarantee of loan repayment' or a substitute for underwriting. PGI is a risk-transfer instrument.
Why I’m posting here
Searchfunder sits at the intersection of:
operators
capital
lenders
advisors
If PGI works, it becomes a standard part of acquisition financing, not an optional add-on.
