Tom and Brad are both right. If it's single member, you can start by making the filing with the state yourself. But you will need the other documents to get a bank account. Lawyers can help you amend it if you need to make a change after they are engaged. That said - you can choose tax classification when you create an entity. For example, you could consider QSBS treatment and put the company in a position to excluded $10M in gain if you have an exit 5+ years later. Most SMB lawyers can have that conversation pretty efficiently.

I would imagine the response depends of the sophistication and context of your situation. If you already know what type of entity to create, my two cents would be that using a service such as the ones that Legal Zoom, My corporation, Legal Nature or similar is an effective way to get it done. I used MyCorporation as part of another process I was doing, and it worked for me. I have seen other be happy using IncFile (now Legal Nature it appears) for creating the entity.
