If you buy a blue-collar business, many of your employees might live that way, and it's a responsibility you'll have to treat with the utmost seriousness and respect.

Agree with the comment on the knifes edge for employees. I've found that's true for some of my contractor companies as well. Pay on time or early for good work and you will move to the top of the priority list.
