Are you familiar with PE firms investing in the legal industry? It seems to be the next wave of professional services roll ups (after medical practices and accounting firms). There are restrictions of non-lawyers owning law firms and PE has gotten around this, primarily through MSOs. This problem has been solved and is in its nascent stages. I am in the process of pulling a team together to go after this. Would you be interested in scheduling a call to discuss ? Looking for recruiters in legal industry and operators in MSOs or law firms. I can be reached at redacted

This may help you research ABS': https://www.lek.com/sites/default/files/insights/pdf-attachments/law-abs-v2.pdf ; MSOs I don't believe directly have ownership stakes in the firms, while the ABS structure does (there was a sandbox in Utah for example). Not sure it's been "solved" though given some state-level legislative pushback.

Jim, I'm at a CPA firm with PE ownership. We've been through the MSO/APS stuff internally (twice now). I'm currently working on some law firm deals looking to mirror this model. Reach out if you'd like to chat or introduce us to any clients looking to get into this space. redacted
