Leave search for an operator role?

I am currently evaluating an operator role with a small company in Ann Arbor, MI. The company lost money last year in terms of NI, and are looking to turn it around. I would be leaving my post of looking for a company to acquire and dedicating my time to this. I have two opps in the pipeline right now, one of which an off market deal where the seller wants to stay in his role as operator. But thats all they are...opportunities. My ask: If you had an experience where you left search to pursue an operator role with equity and/or full autonomy as the package , would you leave a comment for me to reach out?
