I'm searching for a good lawyer to work with for my search and acquisition. Being self funded, the PPM is less of an issue, more just need help with LOI's, purchase & sale and Legal DD. I understand that some of the attorneys that work with traditional searchers are willing to go "on risk" in the sense that they only bill if the deal closes. and that some of them have templatized some of the documents.  I'm wondering how I might go about finding a legal partner that:
1) Has experience in small business M&A
2) Is pragmatic
3) Charges rates that make sense for a deal around the $2 million mark
4) Is willing to go on risk (I would not pull them in unless I'm reasonably confident the deal will close)
Any recommendations personal recommendations in addition to the listing on this site would be most appreciated.
My search is primarily in CA, OR and WA

Thanks
Daniel redacted

Daniel, Braden Wayne redacted is Texas-based but fits the rest of your criteria. We have retained him for a self-funded deal not much larger than that and have found that he is competent and charges reasonable fees. He did require a small retainer, but is willing to defer the balance to a successful closing.

Kevin Madden redacted is at Foley & Lardner LLP. Similar to the above, has lots of search fund deal experience and is reasonably priced, but is based in Boston, which might be a detractor.
