Law firm acquisitions

I'm an attorney, so law is an industry I'm considering. It would be helpful to connect with any operators, investors, brokers, and others who have experience with law firm acquisitions - whether using an MSO structure, simply acquired by attorney(s), the Utah sandbox structure, or otherwise. Much appreciate any introductions! I also welcome any nuanced industry reports/resources that cover small firm acquisitions specifically.

I think it depends on the post-closing structure. If you are just buying to operate, then maybe it doesn't matter as much. Otherwise, it seems that some types of practices are better suited than others-- M&A might be more relational (attorney Joe leaves, so do his clients), personal injury is not (calls may come from billboards more than attorney Joe's reputation), for example.
