A question for the community. When you are looking at the current management- are you keeping them on with the same salary, but implementing new milestones and standards that they have to hit moving forward? Or are you letting go of management as a whole, and bringing your own management for each role? During post acquisition did the management personnel leave, because they didn't agree with these milestones/standards.

Your job will be 1000% easier if you plan on keeping management on - but obviously you have to access if they'll fit with your vision of the company. Generally it's better for you if they leave on their own accord (assuming it's relatively soon after acquisition) - trying to replace the management team enmasse while transitioning the business seems like a recipe for disaster.

Whether to keep or replace mgmt is really a function of what your goals are for the business and whether mgmt would agree with those goals or has a different view. Capable mgmt is key and it’s better if the existing stays and is aligned but you have to be prepared to put in a team that shares your vision.
