One of my favorite recent email replies of all time came from a seller lets call "Tim". His response was just four words "Your timing is good." The guy proceeded to give me his whole story. Why he was open to selling and how he started it in 2009 and scaled it down in 2019 so he and his wife could have a more flexible life. He was about to list and my email hit the week he made the decision. Right now everyone is obsessed with AI and personalization and getting everything perfect through Claude and other tools. No hate btw BUT- My subject line wasn't genius. My body copy wasn't some hand-crafted masterpiece. I didn't scrape his LinkedIn and open with "saw your post about…" Is AI the future? 1000%. Can it also be a distraction from actually reaching out to people like Tim? Also 1000%. I've found its important to keep putting in those reps on the boring stuff. It will pay off. Sprinkle in the AI and tech pa-zazz but lock on to your target.
