IS SEARCHING IN THE U.S. WAY EASIER THAN CANADA?

Been passively searching for the past few months in Canada - Have learned a ton along the way but starting to really wondering if its way easier to search in the U.S. due to a few factors. 

Would love to hear from fellow CA searchers!

Its a matter of perspective. Obviously there are a lot more businesses for sale in the US that fit a traditional search criteria. So if you're open to moving and approach deal sourcing like a numbers game then the US gives better probabilities. Canada is attractive if you can bend the criteria and are interested in smaller deals....and have patience.

Searching is only the first step in this process. Do you want to live in the US? Do you see more growth opportunities in the US? Have you considered immigration visa implications?

I am a Canadian searching primarily in US. But looking not due to ease of searching - but rather because I hope to move to manage the company and see better growth/scale opportunities.

I'm a Canadian who runs a company in the US for multiple years and I believe the opportunity is everywhere but the US has more opportunities than Canada. For me, live and raise a family in Canada and do business in the USA and the best of both worlds
