Is it possible to go from part-time MBA to raising a search fund?

The main consideration here is the opportunity costs of a full-time MBA (and having no income for two years). However - is it possible or more difficult to go from part-time MBA to a search fund and why? Thanks!

Definitely possible. The big issue is finding the time to do PPM, meet with potential investors, and so on if you have a full-time job and school. I didn't start searching until 2 years post-graduation largely because I just didn't have the bandwidth to do work, school, family, and kick off a search.

I will be graduating from Booth’s PT program in 5 months and can confidently tell you that a self funded, traditional, or incubated search are all possible. Feel free to send me a message if you have any specific questions
