We own a profitable, bootstrapped data company that has become core infrastructure for a niche professional service. Its customers are the lenders, advisors, and practitioners who need reliable numbers on private businesses and can’t get them anywhere else. We’re now set up to acquire a group of legacy assets in the data, research, and credentialing space serving that same profession, and we’re opening the door to outside capital to fund it. Why this is different: Downside of a traditional roll-up. These are established, founder-owned businesses with recurring revenue, loyal professional customers, and decades of history. They are priced and underwritten like any lower middle market business services deal. Upside of a technology company. Together the assets form a proprietary dataset that no one else can rebuild. We’re building a specialized AI model on top of it, and that changes what the combined company is worth. The arbitrage. We buy at business-services EBITDA multiples, with a credible path to exit at a multiple of revenue. The platform already exists. The anchor company is operating today, with seven-figure recurring revenue and partnerships with some of the largest names in its market. The deals are already in motion. Several targets are in active conversations with us, and a large public information company has already told us what a combined platform in this space would be worth to them.
