My EMBA Capstone report is about Search Funds investors.

By any chance, do you have any (rough) idea how many VC funds related to SF there are in North America ?

Moreover, I feel that VC are either specialized and dedicated to SF, or avoid them (rather than having a mixed portfolio). Do you agree with that feeling ?

Just FYI, please find mys "investors segmentation" attached, mainly based on IE 2022 report. Any comments or suggestions are welcome.



Values indicate the approximate amount for each segment. In order to simplify, « US » includes both the USA and Canada. “Successful” Search Funders means they achieved to buy a SME (regardless how well they managed it).
