I've founded my own accounting firm before, scaled it to 30 people and sold it to Deloitte.

We build a tremendous SEO-optimized website that generated $100K of ARR/month.

Let me know if I can help with your thesis.

Firms usually pride themselves as being owner operator. Even big firms. You just have to look, but in most cases you will need to look beyond operations as client relationships are also with the owner. Both factors impact the value of the firm on sale. I would look above 5 mm where you will see some owners in there that do not do the work.
