Investor Conversations (Chicago solo searcher)

I’m kicking off my ETA search as a (first-time) solo searcher. I’m targeting businesses with earnings between $350-$900k, and if a target falls in the top half of that range, I will need equity backing. I have contacts in my personal network that are interested, but I would like to speak with more experienced/traditional players in the space. As a first-time searcher I expect significant value could be provided by the right equity partner (beyond the dollars invested). If you or someone you know may be interested in a conversation, please let me know. For background, I’m a transactional attorney at a large firm with experience in M&A and commercial real estate. I also own residential real estate rentals. I’m located in Chicago and will initially focus on the Chicagoland area.
