We're raising an SPV for a deep tech company, and we need help running the process. This is a hands-on, behind-the-scenes role centered on three things: diligence memos, memo work, and LP organization.
Let's be clear up front: this is intense work. It demands real accountability, the ability to go deep on hard problems, and the discipline to own outcomes from start to finish. You will be expected to take full ownership of your work, dig far beneath the surface, and be answerable for the quality and accuracy of what you produce. This is not a passive, observe-from-the-sidelines internship.
Most of the job is the real, unglamorous work of getting a deal done. On the diligence side, that means digging deep into companies, reviewing technical and financial materials, and turning what you find into clear, well-structured memos. On the memo side, you'll draft, refine, and maintain the documents that drive decisions and keep investors informed. On the LP side, you'll handle organization and coordination: tracking outreach, managing communications, keeping records straight, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.
It's detail-heavy work that compounds into real pattern recognition over time.
You'll work with Archit Bhise (HBS '19). He co-founded Wellframe, which was acquired by HealthEdge (Blackstone-backed) and later by Bain Capital in a $2.6B transaction. At Redpoint Ventures, he led investments in companies like PsiQuantum (quantum computing) and Semgrep (developer security). He's also an investor in SpaceX, LMNT and Grow Therapy. He runs Causal Engines, which holds positions across a diverse set of companies.
What matters:
- You're intellectually honest about what you don't know
- You can think from first principles and go deep on technical problems
- You take real accountability and own your work end to end
- You do the work without needing structure or hand-holding
- You're rigorous, organized, and obsessive about details
- You're more interested in learning the craft than collecting credentials
What you'll learn:
- How to run diligence and write memos that actually drive decisions
- The actual mechanics of SPV formation and capital deployment
- How to organize and manage LP relationships and communications
- How to build conviction in non-obvious opportunities
- Why most investment theses are derivative and how to develop original ones
This is intense work with real ownership and real accountability. A lot of it is the minutiae of memo diligence, memo work, and LP organization, done on behalf of Archit. It rewards people who go deep and hold themselves to a high standard.
