Investing in cross-border deals

Hi all, I'm based in the US and looking into potentially investing in cross-border deals (mainly Canada and the UK). I'll do my own research as well, but wanted to hear experience from other US based investors who invested in international deals. Any major issues to be aware of in terms of tax compliance/money movement for example? Would be great to hear first hand experience from investor's perspective. Thank you!

Having done deals in all 3 countries - Canada, US and UK - there are a ton of nuances/issues with compliance/money movement. I recommend speaking with a cross-border tax specialist in order to setup the right structure (which is highly dependent on your strategy).
