Investing Funds After An Exit

Hey everyone - I am actually posting this one for a buddy of mine who is about to exit his first portfolio company/operating business and is looking for a strong group to invest with. Does anyone here have a group or recommendation for him? There are so many groups to choose from so any guidance would be helpful. Thanks

Hey Benjamin, great question. I come from a background spanning both large financial institution (Morgan Stanley) and boutique (my team and I are at Rockefeller), and the key will be to align him/her with the right platform and team that knows the profile and particular needs well (a subject matter expert). We have an expertise in the area, guiding through the pre- and post-transaction considerations, and I'm happy to speak about this with them about this.

I know several groups looking for new LPs. A few questions...
1. What type of investments are they looking for? (e.g. search funds, VC)
2. How involved to they want to be? (e.g. passive, board member, operating partner)
3. Do they prefer any competencies or industries? (e.g. construction, business services, home services)
