Introduction - New Solo / Self Funded Searcher in ATL

Greetings and Happy New Year!

I recently joined the Searchfunder.com community and it has already proven to be such an incredible resource in a short time. Having quick access to IBIS World industry reports is especially useful.

I thought I'd take a moment to formally introduce myself.

I'm Bri. Born in Dallas, TX. Raised largely on the road. But I've called Atlanta home for >25 years now.

I'm <1 year new to the ETA / searching arena but no stranger to the world of entrepreneurship - it is my truest passion. My family owns and operates a number of successful SMBs in the Entertainment, Security and Media Systems segments, which is where I cut my teeth on business management in my teenage years. Additionally, I have a 20 year background in management consulting, focusing on business modeling, go-to-market strategy and innovation. I've also launched a handful of businesses, one of which got the attention of Shark Tank (I came so close!).

More personally, my husband and I have been together nearly 15 years. We're a good support system for one another and often collaborate on projects. We have a funny, high energy 5-year-old son that keeps me on my toes and motivates my ambition. I'm an adventure junkie and generally prefer the outdoors or any excuse to travel internationally. I ride motorcycles (I'm a cruiser girl), enjoy road trips by RV, and can't pass up a great non-fiction book. Some of my all-time favorite reads: Creativity Inc. by Ed Catmull; Running Lean by Ash Maurya and Think and Grow Rich by Napolean Hill.

3. Industry - I'm looking to acquire in the Travel / Transportation / Entertainment sectors. In particular I have an interest in Tourism, New Media & Technology (VR, AR, Metaverse, Blockchain) and Low-Speed Electric Vehicles (LEV) (ie. electric bikes, electric scooters, gold carts / golf cars, etc.). Related to LEVs, I've developed strong personal relationships with EV battery manufacturers factories in China and am looking for opportunities to leverage those partnerships.
