I'm excited to announce that we are launching our Entrepreneurship-Through-Acquisition Accelerator! When I joined ExecCap earlier this year, we were a young firm of just seven people. Since then, I've had the privilege of leading our recruitment efforts, helping grow our team to 30 professionals, developing our comprehensive ETA training curriculum, and helping secure our first five clients, including three searchers. Across three recruitment cycles, we've received 572 applications for just a handful of positions, attracting exceptional talent from Stanford, Harvard, Wharton, UChicago, Northwestern, WashU in St. Louis, NYU, Western U, Brown, Princeton, Indiana University Bloomington, and many other institutions. Now, we're combining what we've learned from recruiting and evaluating hundreds of candidates with our experience supporting acquisition entrepreneurs to take our next big step! Our Accelerator will combine an extensive training curriculum, dedicated acquisition teams, senior-level mentorship, and access to a growing network of capital partners to help aspiring entrepreneurs acquire and ultimately lead their own companies. We're also exploring investor-backed acquisition structures designed to reduce reliance on substantial personal borrowing, offering an alternative to the traditional self-funded search model. And we're casting a wide net! Whether you're an MBA graduate from a leading U.S. business school (international students included!), a Canadian interested in pursuing entrepreneurship in the U.S., or a nontraditional candidate whose accomplishments, leadership, and life story demonstrate exceptional potential, we want to hear from you! Our inaugural program will be nationwide and remote-first, with plans to welcome 10 Entrepreneurs-in-Residence who will begin their acquisition searches in Summer 2027, just in time for the graduating Class of 2027!
