Introducing Search Funds to New Zealand & myself to SearchFunder Community

We've publically introduced search funds to New Zealand in the last 2 weeks—I'm glad to say we've got significant business media coverage. I've reached out to Australian searchers to say "gudday", as well as NZ and international investors, and Mark and Karen of SearchFunder. Seems like there is a gap in the investment market that search funds can fill.

Mark suggested posting here to introduce myself and ask if anyone knows of any New Zealand potential searchers. IMHO they are probably in the US or UK, may have an Ivy League MBA, and want to come back home to family, friends and lifestyle. Yet they can't leave their high paying jobs for the equivalent position in NZ. I think a search fund approach is a good answer to this dilemma. Or they may be already in Australasia, a little older, industry expert who has an investment thesis.

We've just begun the search fund community here but there is already interested investors for the right candidate and deal (though more needs to be done locally).

Mandanex Capital is predominantly an intermediary and we see sufficient quality and quantity of mid-market deals to be had (normal provisos of this taking 1-2 years to find the right deal).

So, if you know of a Kiwi who is mulling over returning to NZ, put him or her in touch.
