Hello everyone, I’m excited to join the Searchfunder community and wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and my wife, Srishti. We are based in Sugar Land, Texas (Houston area) and are pursuing a self-funded search with the goal of acquiring and operating a small business together for the long term. While we are relatively new to ETA, we have both grown up around family businesses and entrepreneurship, which ultimately led us to this path. A little about us: I spent over a decade as a professional cricketer, playing at the highest domestic levels in India before relocating to the United States. Srishti holds a PhD in Biochemistry from Oxford and brings a strong background in relationship building, marketing, and helping manage family business operations. We complement each other well, and after many conversations, we decided that searching as a partnership felt like the most natural approach. Our search is currently focused on the Greater Houston area, where we’re exploring established B2B service, specialty contracting, industrial service, light manufacturing, and distribution businesses. We are focused on established lower-middle-market businesses that can support an owner-operator and provide a platform for long-term growth. One of the things that has impressed us most about ETA is how generous people are with their time and knowledge. Over the past few months we have had the opportunity to speak with brokers, attorneys, lenders, operators, and fellow searchers, and every conversation has taught us something new.
