Introducing myself
by a searcher from Yeshiva University in Jerusalem, Israel
I've spent the last 6 years of my life in the real estate equity raising space. I've learned a lot about myself and business and my journey has brought me to pursuing buying a business.
I've learned that I'm good at:
1. Big picture Operations development and management
2. Negotiations
3. Problem Solving
I've learned that I'm not good at (or not interested in):
1. Marketing.
2. Self promotion
3. Dealing with the nitty gritty.
I'm a strong generalist and have experience in Real Estate, Software development, Product design (Saas), Customer service and hiring. For those familiar with culture index, I'm a wide-ranged Artchitect with a very high A, very low C and a D just over the red line.
I have raised about $20MM and have a strong group of investors, so I could likely fund the equity piece of a $300k-$500k acquisition. Given my skills, I'm interested in buying a company that has revenue in place but could grow exponentially with the right COO at the helm. I'm still learning the space so I'm not buying tomorrow. My short term goals are completing Buy then Build and completing the work the book lays out. Once that's done, I'll be ready to begin my search in earnest.
