You always wanted to be a rockstar, or a rapper - yet, unlucky to mankind you felt in love with Finance. So am I :)
The Opportunity
I am a former Deutsche Bank Director wit time spent at J.P. Morgan and Barclays investment banker, and 18 months in private equity investing in Poland.
KPIs: 12+ years, 70+ transactions, cumulative EV >€150bn; now preparing to launch my investment vehicle.
I am looking for a part-time intern to support two workstreams: financial modelling and deal pipeline.
What You Will Do
• Build and iterate LBO and operating models for acquisition targets – we will work together to create template that ultimately could be managed by AI for new iterations
• Source and screen acquisition targets; build and maintain the pipeline tracker
• Conduct various research - could be at times random
• Review one-page company profiles that AI has prepared
Who I Am Looking For
• Attitude – you want to learn and then learn even more; you are naturally curious
• Strong Excel modelling skills: 3-statement models, LBO mechanics, sensitivity tables – if not – you are happy to learn as I have plenty of materials you can do self-paced
• Comfortable working with messy data and building structure from scratch and creating templates; subsequently, moving across templates and making them easy to change / revise
• Interest in search funds, private equity or entrepreneurship through acquisition
• Hungry for feedback
• Self-directed: this is a one-person search, not a managed internship programme
What You Will Get
• Direct exposure to a live ETA: targets, investor materials and diligence
• Mentorship from a former Deutsche Bank / Barclays / J.P. Morgan IBD professional with 12+ years of M&A and transaction experience
• If you perform – I can give you recommendations to some of my friends; hopefully that should solve your full-time job problem
