I’m exploring the insurance operations space, specifically companies that provide back-office or underwriting support services to carriers, MGAs, or wholesalers. These firms typically handle the workflows behind the scenes: submission review, renewal preparation, rating support, policy admin, or offshore insurance processing. Curious whether anyone here has evaluated or acquired businesses like this. Given my background in commercial insurance underwriting and financial analysis, this space aligns well with my experience so if you’ve come across opportunities in this category, I’d appreciate any insights or introductions. For those who have explored or purchased companies in this niche, what was your experience like? Any lessons learned during diligence, integration, or post-acquisition?

I will say that back in the early 200s banks were buying the local family owned. Many banks have divested in areas after Covid dropped their population numbers maybe call banks who have sold pieces of the overall portfolio and see what they have. Coming from a banker here .
