I would appreciate personal experiences/feedback regarding employee turnover at different income brackets. Additionally, is anyone aware of studies or research in this area? I'm trying to get comfortable with businesses that rely on entry-level labor

High-level thoughts on difference brackets: Entry-Level Labor (e.g., landscaper, pool maintenance) - I assume that this bracket has the highest turnover. Anecdotal evidence from owners I've talked to suggests difficulty in retaining reliable workers. A potential counterpoint is that there is a larger labor pool available (still seems costly though). Mid-Level ($30-40k, with potential growth to $50-70k, e.g., nurse) - My thought is that this bracket might experience the lowest turnover, based on opportunities for advancement. Specialty Labor/Management ($60-80k, with growth potential up to $125k, e.g., master plumber, manager) - Likely to have moderate turnover. This could be due to their market awareness and the financial cushion that allows them to explore new opportunities.

High turnover in entry-level positions is a major concern for me when considering investments in home service businesses.
