Is anyone currently investing in Indiana real estate? I’ve heard great things about the opportunity in the market but I’m interested to hear someone’s personal experience.
I am interested in entering into the market. Depending on opportunity, I’m opened to fix and flip or buy/hold and rent property out.

I started investing in single family & duplexes in Indianapolis in 2014 & sold all of them in###-###-#### I was a long distance investor & had a local property manager; that person will be the most important hire if you're not onsite. Make sure you get someone you trust implicitly who has a strong track record in the area w/the type of property you own. Margins have certainly compressed in the last 2-3 years & one bad tenant or one unexpected expense can cancel out any potential profits for the full year

Dane- I have investment properties in Northwest Indiana. It is a great opportunity. The entry cost used to be really low. As it is everywhere, prices have gone up. With that rent prices have gone up as well.
