Does anyone know the immigration process for someone with an Indian passport looking to do search full time? Currently on an H-1B status and want to understand what steps need to be taken and how the greencard event works. Any info would be hugely beneficial!

SBA or any other loan requires the individual to have a permanent residency or citizenship. If you can get the funds ready from a foreign source or a private/venture capitalist without a loan , you will be able move forward. The biggest criteria in this case will be the capital and will face struggles in acquiring one. Its hard but doable. Partnership with an individual who has access to capital/citizenship will help a lot. I wish you luck in the process.

Also, EB-5's are going to take time to process with USICS even if you have the capital (at-least 2 years) . Over the last few years it varied and laws have changed but you can check the current visa bulletin for the latest updates. Assuming you have the capital, my best bet will be to transfer your current h1b to the company you are going to form and apply for eb5 while it takes time to process. If your line of work is not under rural, highly unemployed area or pertaining to infrastructure , applicants from 2019 is just being processed for Indian nationals. please refer. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-bulletin/2023/visa-bulletin-for-june-2023.html ,
