I've seen a few questions on here and in other places regarding buying a SaaS business if you don't have a technical/programming background so I wanted to provide a link to a post we recently published on Rapid Diligence that dives a bit more into this: 5 Technical Questions to Ask When Buying a SaaS Business

This is more targeted toward non-technical buyers looking to purchase a SaaS/software business so if you already have a technical/programming background, this may not be as applicable or useful. If you have any questions, happy to answer them in the comments below or through private message.

P.S. We recently posted a Comprehensive Diligence Checklist that I shared on here which quite a few folks found useful so in case you missed that post, here's a link to it.

Also, I'd suggest reading this article on the Joel Test. It's a classic blog post and still comes up when I talk to developers about the maturity of a software business.
