Hey everyone — I created this thread on Twitter a week or so ago that I thought might be useful for some folks on here. It's meant to outline the "search to close" process in six steps and while it's geared more toward online businesses, most of it applies generally across the board for SMB acquisitions.

Step 1: Your buyer’s criteria

Step 2: Finding businesses to buy

Step 3: Securing funding

Step 4: Sign the Letter of Intent (LOI)

Step 5: Conducting due diligence Step

Step 6: Sign the Asset Purchase Agreement (APA)

It's geared more toward beginners but it's a fairly quick read and you might find some useful resources in there regardless of your search/acquisition experience :)
