I built a lightweight CRM for M&A outreach — looking for feedback from searchers and advisors
Hi everyone,
Over the last months, I’ve been working on DealConverter, a lightweight CRM built specifically for people doing M&A, acquisition search, and deal origination.
The problem I kept seeing is simple:
Most searchers, brokers, and small M&A advisors are managing outreach through a messy mix of spreadsheets, LinkedIn, email, notes, and follow-ups.
That works at the beginning, but it quickly becomes painful when you need to track:
Which owners you contacted
Who replied
Who showed interest
Who received an NDA / teaser / CIM
Which deals moved to evaluation
Which follow-ups are due
Why a deal died
Which channel actually works
Generic CRMs are often too bloated, too sales-oriented, or require too much setup.
So I built DealConverter as a simpler CRM focused on the M&A workflow:
Outreach → Interest → Access to Info → Evaluation → Offer → Due Diligence → Outcome
The goal is not to replace enterprise tools. It is to give independent searchers, small advisory teams, and boutique M&A operators something practical, fast, and affordable to manage dealflow and owner outreach properly.
I’m currently looking for feedback from people who are actively doing:
Self-funded search
ETA / acquisition entrepreneurship
Broker outreach
Off-market deal sourcing
Small business M&A advisory
I’d love to hear:
What are you currently using to manage your outreach and pipeline?
What is the biggest pain point in your current process?
And would a lightweight CRM built specifically for M&A workflows be useful for you?
Happy to share access with a few people and get honest feedback.
