I want to know if the HVAC industry is profitable ? Specifically the HVAC in residential and commercial services (new installation and maintenance).
What do you think of consolidation in this industry ?

Yes, with the added bonus any blue collar service will be AI automation resistant.

Like any trade, HVAC CAN be profitable, and usually is. Keep in mind there is a high degree of variability between residential, commercial, service and new construction with residential new construction on low end and commercial service on high end. Current sales multiples are crazy high in some cases so be careful to NOT overpay.
