How was your experience working with a broker?

Hey everyone — Happy Friday!

I've seen a few posts on here asking about which brokers are worth working with and I had recently asked if a compiled list of broker reviews by buyers would be helpful and it seemed the consensus was that it would be.

So I wanted to put together this Google form for anyone to fill out who's recently closed on a deal with a broker (the form should take less than five minutes). We'll then compile all of the answers and put it together in a blog post that's constantly being updated so it serves as a resource for this community and searchers everywhere.

To be clear: We're not building a "Yelp for broker reviews" or anything like that. Just compiling data from buyers and putting it together so it's out there as a resource for everyone.

This is a broad topic, but has been discussed a lot here. I have had positive experiences. My approach talking to brokers was to communicate 2 things (1) This is the cash I have and this is what I can afford, (2) I'm very specific on the industry, ebitda, and services that I'm willing to pursue. That means my universe of brokers is very small but has allowed me to go deeper. I also will submit LOI's quickly if I like the deal, they know I'm serious, so even if I lose they include me on other deals they have come along.
