Obviously far from the most important topic, but I am curious how searchers thought about naming their funds? Relatedly curious whether folks found the websites and other materials to be important when reaching out to potential sellers?

I think having a well thought through name indirectly adds credibility as an operator as it demonstrates you are clearly thinking about branding, the long-term strategic direction, etc. One idea is you could go to Chat GPT, give it some context about what you are trying to do and what differentiates your fund, and ask it to come up with 100 possible names for yourself which you can continue to iterate from. At the very least, it will get a few creative ideas going.

Our criteria were: 1) a name which connects to the seller 2) local language, easy to remember and write 3) a name which reflects our story as searchers. In our (^redacted‌) case, Ciclo Partners, from cyle, as the owner is invited to finish a dream/cycle, we start a new one and the company‘s cycle continues.
