We are currently pausing our admin tagging to make some improvements to the system going forward to make it easier to distinguish between posts you're following based on an action you've taken versus posts we think you might be in a good position to contribute.
Believe it or not, Searchfunder has grown so much that for any given post we only tag less than 5 percent of the total community for any given post. We only tag based on profile settings and comment history, but still this could result in being tagged to multiple posts depending on the luck of the draw for any given series of posts on any given day.
The reason we have been tagging more extensively is because of the dramatic effect it has on engagement, often 20x vs untagged posts. Many posters reach out and specifically ask me to tag the posts for them. Of course, it's a balance between making sure every post gets a sufficient number of good answers and not overwhelming prospective commenters.
