I have yet to find a deal but am wondering if it is worth the effort (or even possible) in getting pre qualified for an SBA loan to help things move along if and when a deal is found. If this is a thing, any recommendations out there for who to speak to?

No experience, just thinking out loud here, but wouldn't it be worth starting a few conversations with (local?) sba lenders and seeing what they say? Same with the rest of your deal team (lawyer, accountant, etc). Gotta rally the troops!

Yes, some SBA lenders will provide Letters of Support and they can be useful if you're asked to provide proof of funding. I didn't need to use it often, but my letter came in handy a few times.
