How to approach a broker or seller..

If you’re new, and not sure how to approach a broker to start a relationship… Try giving some value first.

Call a broker and give them a referral or something of value before asking for their time.

Do the same if you're working directly with the seller. Give them some referrals.

If you don't have referrals, find another business owner that might.

Make it happen.

I used to do it all the time and still do.. works every time.

I recently did it with two trade companies and have met with both sellers and are now negotiating an investment in both businesses at the same time.

The more you do it, the easier it gets.

It’s always good to give referrals. Something you aren’t interested in might be interesting to others.
