Hey Searchfunders,
Quick disclaimer - I don't have a background in PE/banking...so forgive me if this question is common knowledge...
I've been working with a friend (YC founder), building new products for businesses and founders. I was wondering how often do Searchfund Acquisitions/PE PortCo's partner with software consulting firms/agencies to build products to automate/optimize workflows?
In most businesses, there are plenty of inefficient processes, and implementing technology could help bring down costs (and increase exit multiples) significantly.
We were thinking it's a no-brainer to come in and evaluate current processes and implement automation/software to make PortCo's big money and take some % of that....
Is this a common practice in ETA/PE?
Thanks for your help in advance!!!
